Utah Symphony at Deer Valley

Last weekend a girlfriend and I went up to the Snow Park amphitheater and had a wonderful time hearing Mark O'Connor (a fantastic violinist/composer) perform with the Utah Symphony. I used to do this type of activity very frequently and now it has faded into a sort of memory--- which has now been rekindled. It is so crazy how easy it is to forget the beauty of listening to great music with the backdrop of the majestic mountains during sunset. Simply breath taking. I was able to think about so many things. Some of those things were personal goals (like writing, performing, and publishing my own music), other things were dreams (like vacations, writing my book, and perhaps someday getting a tan again :) not really), and then I thought about how happy I will be when I can share this passion of mine with my children. Clint loves to go with me to these types of things...sometimes. So I don't feel like I don't get to do it, but these last couple of years I have not really made it a priority and now I think I might change my tune. Or I might just keep having girls nights since my friend's sister and brother-in-law are in the symphony (her brother-in-law is concert master) and she gets hooked up with tickets quite frequently and luckily she likes to take me. Here's to a lasting friendship!!
