Nicaboo is now starting to do fun things like laugh (giggle), smile and almost rolls over. On the bed she can roll over, but the floor takes a little more muscle. She also loves to try the exercauser, walks in the stroller and going in the carrier. She is such a happy baby.

Good to be back
We have really had a crazy month. Just when I think I am in charge and organized and ready to go, something else or someone else decides to show me that Life is just not that predictable. Madalyn has been on a not very fun roller coaster ride, but we think for now she is done. She is allergic to milk and dogs-- quite severely, and a couple of other small allergies. I have learned a lot about milk/dairy products and terms and allergic reactions. UGH! Now that I am making a lot more meals and breads and things from scratch, I've learned that it isn't so hard or time consuming. Just takes a little more thought and organization. And we are eating fresh fruits like crazy-- now if I can get everyone to eat more vegetables and fish-- ok that might be wishful thinking. So along with the allergies, she has had pneumonia and a septic hip which required surgery. I love primary childrens hospital, but not that much. It took a lot of coordinating with friends, neighbors and family to make sure we could be up there with her. Luckily, Carver was a champ and he loves kindergarten and playing with friends so that wasn't too bad, and baby Nicalee is such a sweet, easy baby to take care of, so that made it easier to have to leave her-- which wasn't easy at all. Anyway, after working with a picc line and antibiotics and bandages and all that... finally, life seems back to normal for a while. Here's to good health and good people who really care when life throws you a few lemons.

Kindergarten

Carver was very excited to go to school where the big kids go. Last week we had the orientation/open house and his evaluation. Those were fun, Madalyn had to show that she is also ready to go to school. They wrote their names and did a few puzzles and some reading games etc. Mrs. McDougal is in for a real treat. This morning Carver and I walked to school holding hands and saying "hi" to neighbor kids on their way to school. It was really fun. Then when they lined up in their classes, I started to get a little emotional. After some pictures and a last good-bye, I cried like a baby. I just can't believe how quickly time goes by.
Blessing Day

We had a fun weekend of getting the house and yard ready for Nicalee's big day. It was fun to have friends and family over on such a nice day. I really wanted to get to that informal class reunion, but there were just too many things. Saturday, Clint took Carver and Maddie swimming then we all went to chick-fil-a and the spiderman park and then launched rockets with Russ, Sara, Oliver and Jack (mainly so that the house wouldn't get messed up after my day of cleaning). Sunday was the beautiful blessing-- I'm going to get some cute blessing pics of all the kids this week at kiddie kandids.
